Renovation of a municipal facility in Birmingham, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Shade Valley work includes new canopy, buildings re-roofing, exterior re-painting, repairing gutter and down spouts, installing sealant at windows and doors, replacing fascia and closing in skylights at selected buildings, interior painting, new ceiling tiles. The works is further described on construction documents, drawings and specifications prepared by the Architect and his consultants. Bids will only be accepted from prequalified contractors who are listed on the Plan Holders List, signifying that they have purchased a set of documents from the Engineer, and who attend the MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference. NO BID PROPOSAL SHALL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE TIME STATED FOR RECEIVING BID PROPOSALS IN THIS NOTICE. A FORM CONTAINING THE CONTRACTOR'S NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE FIRM AND THE CONTRACTOR'S ALABAMA LICENSE NUMBER WITH THE DATE OF EXPIRATION IS REQUIRED WITH THE SUBMISSION OF THE BID. THESE REQUIREMENTS SHALL NOT BE WAIVED. The Pre-Qualification Deadline has been changed to Friday, February 18, 2022 at 5:00 PM. These may be delivered to Studio 2H Design as described in the Notice to Bidders or emailed to Katie Wood at katie@studio2hd.com. All questions must be in writing on Bidders companys letterhead. All prospective bidders must complete and submit a "Statement of Bidder's Qualifications" to Studio 2H Design, LLC, Attn: Katie Wood, 1721 4th Ave N, Suite 101, Birmingham, AL 35203. The deadline for bidder questions has been changed to Friday, February 25, 2022 at 5:00 PM. Acceptance. Liquidated damages will be assessed if this time limit is exceeded. The Contractor may apply for an extension of time in accordance with the provisions of the Contract; however, such an extension must be approved prior to the Contract Completion Date to avoid the imposition of liquidated damages. The Owner may make such investigations as deemed necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to perform the work, and the bidder shall furnish to the owner all such information for this purpose as the owner may request. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid proposal if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such bidder fails to satisfy the Owner that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the agreement and to complete the work under this contract. Such evidence should include, but not be limited to, successful completion of three (3) projects as the prime contractor within the last five years. The bid will be rejected if this requirement is not met.
