Renovation of a mixed-use development in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Project no- 21-100 The School District will only accept bids from companies that have been placed on its current Pre-Qualified Contractors List as shown at portal The Office of Capital Programs reserves the right to reject any and all bids and make the awards to the best interests of the School District of Philadelphia. MBE Range: 15%-20% MWBE Range: 10%-15% WBE Range: 10%-15% Unless otherwise indicated remove all existing lighting fixtures in classroom modification areas along with existing branch circuits. Remove existing lighting control wiring. Provide new LED lighting fixtures, occupancy sensors, power packs, dimmer switches and lighting control wiring. Provide all new wiring and conduit from existing panelboards. Existing conduit can be utilized, where possible. 2. Remove existing light switches and switch cover plates and provide new lighting controls in all rooms as indicated on drawings. 3. Unless otherwise indicated, all existing surface mounted receptacle outlets, wired utilizing wiremold type raceways, shall be removed along with the wiring and raceways. Provide new receptacles as indicated on drawings. Provide new branch circuits including new conduits to all new receptacles. 4. Provide additional circuits, wiring devices and connections for mechanical equipment. 5. Unless otherwise indicated, existing ceiling mounted functional speakers shall be reused. Existing speakers shall be temporary disconnected, removed and saved for reinstallation. Once ceiling is replaced by General Contractor, the electrical contractor shall reinstall existing saved speakers back on new ceiling tile and shall reconnect to existing speaker wiring. Remove all existing non-functional abandoned speakers and provide blank cover plates on outlet boxes.. 6. All existing wall-mounted telephones be removed and reinstalled when new work is complete. Remove old abandoned telephone outlets and provide blank cover plates on recess outlet boxes. 7. Remove existing recessed combination clock and speaker boxes and associated junction boxes. Remove ex. low-voltage cable to system. 8. Provide new hard wired clock in each Classroom and tie into existing master-clock system. 9. Unless otherwise indicated, remove existing data ports, associated cabling, raceways, etc. Existing wireless access points shall remain. Provide additional IT equipment, data ports, data cabling, etc. as indicated on plans. 10. Provide new panelboards and feeders as indicated on drawings. 11. Coordinate all electrical construction with general construction phasing plan. Provide temporary lighting and power during construction period for all trades. 12. Coordinate existing -to-remain IT equipment, clocks, paging system, security system & associated cabling with new electrical construction work. Any equipment and cabling damaged beyond repair during construction shall be replaced with similar or approved equal at contractor's expense. 13. Contractor shall use ground-penetrating radar to locate rebar prior to coring penetration and drilling in existing concrete, rebar shall not be damaged in any way during construction. 14. The contractor shall patch wall/slab/floor to match existing after removal and installation of any electrical equipment including but not limited to associated wiring, conducts. panels, receptacles, outlets, supports, etc
