The City of Portage invites interested Firms to submit information regarding their experience, qualifications, and fees for providing consulting services for recurring aquatic nuisance conditions within Austin Lake. The award will result in a contract with a base term of six (6) years. The consultants will study the lake ecology as it relates to recurring aquatic nuisance conditions within Austin Lake and will prepare recommendations and prescribe treatment for controlling aquatic nuisances during the years 2023 through 2027. The consultant will also monitor the effectiveness of prescribed treatment processes and for early detection of new or changing conditions that need to be addressed during these same years. The Consultant shall make all necessary investigation to thoroughly inform themselves regarding lake conditions. No plea for ignorance of existing conditions shall be accepted. Failure or omissions of any Consultant to become acquainted with existing conditions shall in no way relieve them from any obligation with respect to their proposal or any resulting contract.
