Renovation of a water / sewer project in Palm Bay, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
In FY 20, Tetra Tech was given a Task Order to evaluate options for the complete rehabilitation of the North Regional Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Treatment Plant. The results of the evaluation were provided in FY 21 and concluded the most feasible option was to fully replace the RO Water Treatment Plant and install a new Class 1 industrial deep injection well for the disposal of brine (concentrate). The rehabilitation will include a complete removal and replacement of the existing system. This includes micron filters, pressure vessels, membranes, high pressure pumps, and instrumentation and control equipment. New infrastructure will include a generator, transfer pump station, and Class 1 industrial well for disposal of concentrate (brine). This project is in included in the City of Palm Bay FY 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of January 31, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
