The EDA is seeking responses from qualified, licensed professional firms for design and construction proposals for the project. It is the intent of EDA to negotiate a single contract with one or more professional firm(s). The Economic Development Authority of Patrick County (EDA) recently received funding from the Virginia Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission (TRRC) in support of a feasibility study for a local business and entrepreneurship center in the County. Following the successful study, the EDA is requesting proposals for the final design and construction of the Patrick County Business Development Center (BDC) in the former True Value Hardware Store located at 132/136 Slusher St, Stuart, VA. The EDA is seeking additional funding from TRCC and the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) to complete the project, and those applications are being submitted as this RFP process is carried out. Additional funding requests are also under consideration. The project is being managed by the EDA with the assistance of the West Piedmont Planning District Commission (WPPDC). The County of Patrick Administration will serve as the fiscal agent and administrator.
