The reroof project is located at 1415 Harrison Street. Kalamazoo, MI 49048. The project consists of installing Carlisle's Sure-Seal (black) Adhered Roofing System as outlined below: Remove the Ballast, membrane, and existing insulation. Install Polyisocyanurate to meet R-30. Install tapered drain sump. Apply the new Fully Adhered EPDM and install new edge metal following manufacturer specifications. The bid must be accompanied by a bid bond which shall not be less than five (5%) percent of the total amount of the bid. No bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by the required guarantee. The bid guarantee shall ensure the execution of the bid and award, and the furnishing of a performance bond and a labor and material bond (A and B below) by the successful bidder. (Contractors Note: A cashier's or certified check in lieu of a bid bond is NOT acceptable.) A performance bond shall be furnished in the full amount of the contract ensuring the City of faithful performance of all the provisions of the contract, and the satisfactory performance of any equipment required hereunder. The bond shall also ensure the City against defective workmanship and/or materials. A labor and material (payment) bond shall be furnished for the period covered by the contract, in the full amount of the contract for the protection of labor and material suppliers and subcontractors. Provide all labor, material, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the installation of a Sure-Seal 60 mil EPDM membrane Fully Adhered Roofing System including flashings and insulation as specified herein and as indicated on the drawings in accordance with the manufacturer's most current specifications and details. The City reserves the right to postpone the bid opening for its own convenience. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
