Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Victoria, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 691-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The Capital Regional District ("CRD") invites submissions (each a "Response") to this Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") from experienced general contractors (each a "Respondent") interested in constructing the Goldstream Gatehouse project (the "Project"). The Greater Victoria Water Supply Area (GVWSA), northwest of the city of Victoria is 20,550 hectares in size and contains the watersheds and reservoirs that supply the Regional Water Supply System. The IWS Field Operations Centre (FOC) is the main entry point to the GVWSA, where staff, contractors, researchers and other stakeholders enter and exit on a daily basis. The centre also serves as a worker safety check-in/out and first aid station for the GWSA. The services being run through the existing infrastructure far exceed the infrastructures capabilities and capacity. The goal of the new gatehouse and gate is to optimize the road entry and access to better accommodate traffic to the GVWSA safely with improved security and control. Further to this the facility will have sufficient space for the first aid room, issued equipment storage, equipment wash-down, watershed orientation and small meeting room space. The Work will include, but not be limited to: Construction of a 64 square meter, one story wood frame, slab on grade building. Cladding to be metal, decorative metal and stone. Stud and exterior insulation. Partial metal roof and partial membrane roof. Septic tank with provisions for future hookup to future site development. Electrical and security systems in building to be tied to existing site systems, and provision of an antenna tower. New and reconfigured underground and overhead electrical services. Reconfiguration of the existing road, including both repaving and new portions of road. Reconfiguration of drainage including new culverts and headwalls Removal of areas of existing indicated concrete and gravel driving and parking surfaces Re-grading and restoration of grassed areas Removal, realignment and install of portions of perimeter fencing Swing arm gates with both entry operator and user FOB controls. Manual rolling gates. Co-ordination with Owner to maintain GVWSA regular operations and potential emergency access during construction - staged construction for some portions to maintain road access. Locate and protect existing CRD watermain immediately adjacent to the building site from damage during construction. Maintain existing services to all buildings on site during reconfigurations in the area of the new building. All utility locates, pre-digs, and coordination with utility agencies (BC Hydro, Fortis, Telus, West Shore Environmental, City of Langford, etc.) Work within the Project's overall schedule and mitigate any impacts that could potentially delay the Project delivery. Minimize impacts to the adjacent site functions (e.g. noise, dust, odour and access to driveways). Warranty - The Construction Agreement is expected to have a 1-year warranty period. Effective safety plans, procedures and on-site safety awareness to minimize all safety incidents is a high priority to the CRD
