Warren County Public Schools is seeking Invitation for Bids (IFB's) on behalf of the Warren County Government from qualified mechanical contractors to perform replacements for two roof top units. Warren County Public Schools reserves the right to reject the successful bidder's selection of subcontractors. Warren County Public Schools reserves the right to accept or reject all or any part of any bid, waive informalities and award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder to best serve the interest of Warren County Public Schools.Warren County Public Schools reserves the right to determine the responsiveness of any deviation Scope of work to include, but may not be limited to: o Disconnect and removal of existing roof top units, including electrical, refrigerants, gas piping, ductwork and disposal of same The contractor 4 shall remove the existing unit from the premises and dispose of it in accordance with all local and national standards. All refrigerant shall be handled in an environmentally responsible manner in accordance with the Clean Air Act. o Use of existing curbs and installation of adapter curbs as necessary o Contractor to provide Alternate Bid Pricing for removal of old roof curbs and replacement with new. o Installation of new Carrier roof top units, same tonnage and type or Owner approved equal. o Installation to include necessary electrical connections, ductwork and insulation, gas piping connections and weather seal. o The Contractor shall perform a full-system start up and review of the installation with Owner's staff, including an overview of the operation and maintenance of the new system, as well as installed accessories. o The contractor shall provide unit and workmanship warranty information with their bid submission. Unit must carry a minimum 5-year warranty on parts and 1-year warranty on labor. o Coordination for integration with existing BAS ( Building Automation Systems) and Fire Alarm o The contractor shall provide the business name, contact name, phone number, and address of an authorized service repair vendor that will honor all warranty work and repairs on the product they (the bidder) offer in a same day or minimum 24 hour response time (including weekends). You may be requested to provide subcontractor's names in the event that your company is more than an hour from the installation location.
