Renovation of a municipal facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Attendance at the site tour &/or pre-proposal conference is optional for all proposers. The project site is the Hennepin County Energy Center (HCEC), located at 616 10th Ave S, Minneapolis. The work consists of removing and fully replacing portions of the existing 1-story roofing system, including areas low clearance sections below cooling tower structures and around the extensive mechanical equipment present on the roof. Roof replacement will include installation of additional roof drains and related piping below the roof. Work will also include removal and replacement of screening and edge protection systems. The building is an active energy generating facility, supplying multiple Hennepin County properties. The Owner intends that all related roof mounted equipment and penetrations are to remain active through construction. The contractor is expected to work closely with the owner during construction to minimize disruptions. Approximate construction timeline for Project is 2Q 2022 thru 3Q 2022. The Owner's estimated construction cost for the Work is $615,000 PN - 21-7761-000
