Bidding is anticipated to take place in late 2023. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference The Field Maintenance Shop (FMS) is anticipated to be a Fiscal Year 2024 construction project to support the Montana Army National Guard in Malta, Montana. The proposed facility will include a shop, administrative areas and support areas to allow the mechanics to repair the full complement of military vehicles operated by the MTANG. The approximately 22,800 square foot maintenance facility will include two high-volume maintenance bays, a warm-up and wash bay, administrative areas, and materials storage rooms. New maintenance bays will have a drive-through configuration for ease of access. The bays will include full telecommunication and computer workstation capability. The facility will include a 5-ton bridge crane. The facility will meet Industry Standards as well as all local, State, and Federal building codes. Construction will include all utility services, information systems, fire detection and alarm systems, roads, walks, curbs, gutters, storm drainage, parking areas and site improvements. Facilities will be designed to a minimum life of 50 years in accordance with DoD's Unified Facilities Code (UFC 1-200-02) including energy efficiencies, building envelope and integrated building systems performance as per ASA(IE&E) Sustainable Design and Development Policy updated 2017. Antiterrorism measures in accordance with the DoD Minimum Antiterrorism for building standards will be provided. The design of the facilities will follow the principles of LEED with a Silver rating requirement. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
