Renovation of a municipal facility in Lawrence, Kansas. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Douglas County, Kansas is seeking proposals from interested preservation architect/engineering firms for professional services for foundation waterproofing, historic exterior staircase restoration, site drainage, roof drainage evaluation and corrective repairs, for the Douglas County historic courthouse. The building is located at 1100 Massachusetts Street in Lawrence Kanas and will remain fully occupied throughout the course of design and construction. It is Douglas Countys intention to acquire a dependable Design Professional with a firmly established base of operations who can offer experience in working on historic structures, coordination with and submission of project information to the Kansas State Preservation Office (SHPO), at a competitive rate for a very high quality service. The selection committee will have sole authority to negotiate any portion of the proposals received.
