The City of Salina is requesting the services of a traffic engineering consultant to supplement the efforts of City staff, in accordance with the City's Professional Services Selection Guidelines, which can be found on the City's website at link. Scope items may include but not be limited to the analysis of existing conditions and recommended improvements to the following locations/intersections. 1. Magnolia and 9" Street -- explore dual westbound/southbound left turn lanes and investigate site distance concems with northbound/southbound single left tum lanes 2. Magnolia and Highland/Mall entrance -- possible geometric improvements to delineate north side intersection lanes in conjunction with a new hotel development traffic impact 3. Ohio and Crawford right turn lane warrants 4. Traffic signal warrants -- Markley/Magnolia and Ohio/Schilling Interested firms' qualification statement may include but not be limited to a cover letter, examples of similar work, ability to complete the work, references, primary individual qualifications, and other company experience or information. The City anticipates selecting a consultant based entirely on the qualifications, but reserves the right to ask prospective consultants to expound on their qualifications at a later date. The selection criteria will be as follows: e Experience and performance on similar past projects with other clients e Performance on past City projects and familiarity with project characteristics e Qualifications of persons proposed to work on the project e Ability to meet work schedules and stay within budget e Overall approach and no conflicts of interest The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
