Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Evanston, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Work on this project includes the installation of ductile iron water main pipe ranging from 6-inch to 10-inch diameter in size, installation of combined and storm sewer 8-inch diameter, public, full, and private lead water service pipe replacements, public water service replacements (not lead) to accommodate the work, related appurtenances, concrete curb and sidewalk repairs, pavement patching, asphalt resurfacing, parkway restoration, private side restoration (full and private side lead water service pipe replacements), and all materials, labor, equipment, and incidental work. Bidders must be prequalified by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and present an IDOT issued "Certificate of Eligibility" with the bid proposal. Bid Bond 5% of Contract PERFORMANCE/MATERIAL & LABOR PAYMENT BOND: 100% of Contract Amount CONTRACT PERIOD: Contract award through 160 Calendar Days The Evanston City Council also reserves the right to award the contract to an Evanston firm if that firms bid is within 5% of the low bid.
