The City of Upper Arlington is seeking a contractor to provide all labor, supervision, equipment, materials and expertise required to perform tree removal work. Since the work is of a potentially dangerous nature and requires specialized expertise, it is to be performed by a company which derives the majority of its annual income from arboricultural work, and whose employees are highly trained and skilled in all phases of tree maintenance and removal work, including work around utility lines. Work performance history and references may be required by the City. Question Cutoff Date: February 8, 2022 @ 8:00 AM To provide all labor, supervision, equipment, materials and expertise required to perform tree removal work in the City of Upper Arlington, Ohio as specified herein. Since the work is of a potentially dangerous nature and requires specialized expertise, it is to be performed by a company which derives the majority of its annual income from arboricultural work, and whose employees are highly trained and skilled in all phases of tree maintenance and removal work, including work around utility lines. Work performance history and references may be required by the City. Work limited to trees located on all public rights-of-way in the City of Upper Arlington. Work may also include occasional work on trees growing on other public properties and parks in the City, or on privately owned trees growing over or interfering with the safe use of public land. Work begins approximately February 22, 2022 and is completed within fifteen (15) working days of the start date, exclusive of inclement weather. Working hours shall be between 7:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding state and federal holidays. Weekend and holiday work may be permitted in writing only, under exceptional circumstances, at the discretion of the Superintendent of Parks and Forestry.
