Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Snow Camp, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

Alamance County, or referred to as hereafter ("County"), is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified vendors for design / build services. The project consists of developing detailed design plans and construction of an Observation Tower at the Cane Creek Mountains Natural Area. The purpose of this RFQ is to build an eighty (80) ft. observation tower providing a one of a kind view from the top of Cane Creek Mountains Natural Area. Due to conservation restrictions on the property, the only access to the site of the observation tower is via a dirt road suitable for UTVs. Large equipment will not be able to access the construction site. PHASE 1 - Observation Tower Design The vendor must provide design plans for an eighty (80) ft. observation tower to be located within Cane Creek Mountains Natural Area. The final design must: 1. Meet or exceed North Carolina laws and requirements. 2. Meet or exceed current industry standards. 3. Meet or exceed current Federal Americans with Disability Act (ADA) 4. Be stamped by an engineer. 5. Minimize possible impact to surrounding natural areas, including clearing the smallest footprint possible for the design requirements, and limiting the removal of mature trees and other flora and fauna. Tree removal must be preapproved in writing from the County during the design phase. PHASE 2- Observation Tower Construction Vendor must provide the construction of approved final design. Construction must take place in the allotted time detailed below. Construction must meet or exceed all State of North Carolina laws and requirements.
