The Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management- Facilities Division is issuing this bid solicitation for flooring upgrades in the Warner Elementary School. This work is following an abatement of VAT and mastic. It should be assumed that use of Blas track or other floor grinding equipment will be used. The Contractor should prepare for this by holding a figure in their estimate to cover any extra patching or leveling compound required to ensure that the flooring is installed correctly and to industry standards. Condition of concrete or subfloor will not constitute a change order. The Department is requesting pricing on the LVT Rejuvenations line. Each phase will be priced both ways for cost comparison. All questions regarding the bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement (Hbutton@springfieldcityhall.com) by February 25, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. All bidders are advised that the minimum wage rate schedule, issued by the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Standards are included in the specifications and shall prevail in the work on this project.
