The work will include but is not limited to, the cleaning and televising of approximately seven thousand linear feet (7,000 LF) of sanitary piping and drainage structures within the Lodi Street, Green Street, and McKinley Street sections of the City of Hackensack. The work will also include temporary traffic control, coordination of Uniformed Police Traffic, disposal of removed materials and surface restorations. Pipe diameters may range in size from eight (8) inches to thirty (30) inches. The Contractor will be responsible to coordinate and obtain all access permits required to occupy Rights-Of-Way, in addition to access coordination with Property Owners before and after required activities. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, supervision, trade skills, materials, and equipment required for this Project as described in the Construction Documents. The Contract will allow forty-five 45 calendar days for completion of the work from the Notice to Proceed. Bids shall be made on the forms provided and made part of the Contract Documents, which SHALL be submitted in Triplicate, One Stamped Original, and Two Stamped Copies. A certified check or cashier's check made payable to the order of the City of Hackensack, or a duly executed Bid Bond, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of each Bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 must be deposited by the Bidder together with a Surety Consent evidencing that They can obtain the required Performance Bond. The City of Hackensack reserves the right to consider Bids for sixty (60) days after their receipt. The right is reserved to waive any informalities, to accept Bids which it deems most favorable to the interest of the City to make an award on each item separately or as a whole and to accept any Bid or to reject any or all Proposals in accordance with the Specifications and the Bid forms.
