It is the intent of the Bergen County Utilities Authority, by means of this Contract, to procure Potassium Permanganate over the course of a 2-year period. The BCUA operates and maintains Digested Sludge Thickening Facility, which produces a sludge cake and a liquid product known as filtrate. The product specified in this contract will be used to control odor in this filtrate. The Potassium Permanganate system in use at the present time is a Cairox CXF 1000 Invert System which accommodates an 18 3/8"" diameter drum.
