Pursuant to California Government Code 4525, et seq. and 53060, the San Diego Unified School District (District) desires to engage one or more firms to provide Division of the State Architect (DSA) Inspection services as an extension of District staff. The District is soliciting requests for qualifications and proposal (RFQ/P) from qualified firms and persons to provide supplemental support services in connection with Capital Bond Programs identified by District to repair and maintain the building infrastructure as well as improve the ability to deliver the instructional program. Providing supplemental support services for a broad spectrum and scope of the bond projects requires considerable expertise and experience in public works school facilities capital improvement projects. Proposers need to demonstrate at least five (5) years of experience as the applicant to this RFQ/P under its own federal tax identification number providing DSA Inspection Services in accordance with the scope of services described in this RFQ/P. Firm personnel will work side by side with District staff; however, the District, or its designee, shall task firm personnel directly on most of the work. Based on the results of this RFQ/P, the District intends to award several as-needed contracts with a term of up to five (5) years. These contracts may comprise multiple projects and will be authorized by individual work authorization. Submittals from small businesses, minority-owned businesses, women-owned businesses, and disabled veteran-owned businesses are encouraged. The District actively encourages the diversity of qualified professionals on the project team and encourages firms to demonstrate employment diversity by exerting assertive efforts to improve employment of small business enterprises in their work forces.
