The existing sidewalk is approximately 4 feet wide and will be replaced with a new 5-foot-wide sidewalk. Please submit a written lump sum quotes, including mobilization and safety control costs. The Town of Sunderland is seeking written price quotes to replace approximately 840 linear feet of existing sidewalk along Garage Road in Sunderland, Massachusetts. The existing sidewalk is approximately 4 feet wide and will be replaced with a new 5-foot-wide sidewalk. The project requires: - Reclamation of the existing asphalt sidewalk and berm; - Excavation of approximately one foot wide along the length of the sidewalk (approximately 650 linear feet), to a depth of 12 inches (approximately 25 cubic yards), and filled with crushed gravel (approximately 20 cubic yards); - Pave 5-foot width with 2 lifts of Bituminous Concrete (approximately 467 square yards); Binder course SIC 12.5mm @ 1.5" depth (40 ton estimate); Top course SSC 9.5mm @ 1.5" depth (40 ton estimate); - Approximately 650 linear feet of a 1-foot Bituminous Cape Code Curb (16 ton estimate); - Driveways and entrances will not be subject to excavation or reclamation. Work at driveways and entrances (other than at Sycamore Meadow Road) will comprise the removal of 3" of existing hot mix asphalt to a width of 5', with sawcutting at each side to make a clean joint with remaining pavement and 3" hot mix asphalt resurfacing as specified above (approximately 85 square yards); and - A painted crosswalk that is approximately 5 feet wide by 118 feet long.
