Renovation of a warehouse / distribution facility in Batavia, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a warehouse / distribution facility.
Tuckpoint and masonry repairs to be performed at indicated sites to repair mortar and stone foundations integral to the overall safety and health of the identified buildings. Service will require sub-contractor to provide trained and qualified masons to perform the tuckpointing and stone replacement work at Kuhn Barn, Site 65 & 70 barns/foundations. Sub-contractor shall repair and replace all internal and external mortar joints that are showing signs of deterioration and/or damage. All joints requiring repair shall be chipped and cleaned of old mortar and debris. New mortar shall be placed and pointed and shall be as close to the existing color and finish as possible. Damaged and deteriorating areas of stone shall be repaired, and stones reset to as close to original position as possible. Large cracks and voids shall be filled and sealed to avoid water entry into foundations and footings. If additional caulking or other sealants are required for waterproofing, they shall be furnished and installed to protect the building structures. All associated concrete blocking and ramps at identified barns that need repairs shall also be included in work performed. When work is completed all surrounding areas are to be cleaned of debris and other construction related materials. Sites should be left in a clean and safe condition. If multiple days are to be spent at a single location cleanup should occur at the end of each workday and site should be left in a reasonably clean condition. This work is intended to maintain the structural integrity of the foundations and not intended to rectify any resurfacing of skim coats or other cosmetic repairs. Sub-contractor is responsible for all mobilization/demobilization costs, all safety equipment and PPE and permitting if required. Sub-contractor will be required to attend FNAL sub-contractor safety orientation meeting which is held daily M-F at 7:30 am on site in the 327 building. Applies if the Subcontract has a performance period of more than 120 days. All disclosures of violation of the False Claims Act or of Federal criminal law shall be directed to the DOE Inspector General, with a copy to the DOE Contracting Officer for the Fermilab site Offerors should submit questions via email to gdutollo@fnal.gov. All questions shall be submitted in writing no later than February 31, 2022 at 3:00 PM CST. FESS-311410-GD has been designated as a small business set-aside project. An award will be made to a Small Business only. PLEASE READ EXHIBIT F - COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS FOR SITE ACCESS. Your will be required to provide the following. You must provide an attestation to your Vaccination Status (Vaccinated, Not Vaccinated, Partially Vaccinated, Decline to Respond). A copy of this attestation (Electronic or hard copy) on their person at all times when on the Fermilab site. DO NOT SEND THIS ATTESTATION FORM TO FRA, you must keep that for your records If partially vaccinated, not vaccinated or decline to respond, you must also have on their person at all times results of a Negative COVID-19 test taken by in the last 7 days. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time
