Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Union Bridge, Maryland. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
Locust Wetland Stormwater Management Facility Building and Facility Construction and Maintenance Services The Carroll County Bureau of Purchasing, in cooperation with the Bureau of Resource Management and the Town of Union Bridge, is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to provide the labor, material, equipment, and services necessary for the Locust Wetland Stormwater Management Project. The project site is located in Union Bridge, Maryland with work included along George and West Locust Streets. Primary aspects of the project include the following: Install erosion and sediment control Clear, grub and remove debris from the limits of disturbance Construct a lined forebay, micropool, and associated piping and structures Construct a lined wetland, march, and pilot channel Install storm drains and structures along George and West locust Streets Relocate water main Repair/replace pavement and sidewalks as required. The project goal is tobe substantially complete by the fall of 2022 to allow for optimal planting conditions. GRO-21-0006 The necessity for mechanical rock removal is highly unlikely. We do not believe it is necessary for bidders to price a contingency for mechanical rock removal and are not requiring this as part of the bid.
