Site work and renovation of a civil project in Hayneville, Alabama. Working plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Per Danny Holmberg the one bid received was double the estimate. Project will be postponed until additional funding is secured. The work to be performed will generally consist of sanitary sewer lift station improvements at six lift station sites in the Town of Hayneville and provision and installation of two magnetic flow meters generally as follows: BASE BID o Lift Station #7: Furnish and install a new 40 HP pump including all electrical improvements, furnish and install a new 4" check valve at existing 90 degree bend in valve box, furnish install new discharge piping to include an insert valve and emergency quick disconnect piping, any required bypass pumping, as well as any other requirements included on project plans. o Lift Station #8: Furnish and replace a single 20-HP pump including all electrical improvements, replace an existing 4" ARV, install new 4" quick connect fittings, any required bypass pumping, as well as any other requirements included on project plans. o Lift Station #9: Furnish and replace an 11-HP pump including all electrical improvements, straighten and secure existing power supply pole, furnish and replace entire control panel and wiring, secure existing 4" stainless steel vent with all stainless concrete anchor bolts, as well as any other requirements included on project plans. o Lift Station #10: Furnish and replace a single 5-HP pump, furnish and replace existing PVC with new stainless steel discharge piping inside and outside the wet well, furnish and install a new valve box with all new valves and check valves, any required bypass pumping, as well as any other requirements included on project plans. ALTERNATE 1 o Furnish and install magnetic flow meter and pipe improvements in existing open vault on lagoon effluent discharge line; o Furnish and install magnetic flow meter and doghouse manhole on lagoon influent force main; o Allowance for SCADC controls for influent/effluent meters ALTERNATE 2 o Lift Station #7 - Furnish and replace existing piping and valves from pump discharge through exit of valve box. ALTERNATE 3 o Lift Station #7 - Furnish and install a new valve vault vent pipe. ALTERNATE 4 o Lift Station #7 - Replace wet well aluminum hatch. ALTERNATE 5 o Lift Station #8 - Furnish and replace existing piping and valves from pump discharge through exit of valve box. ALTERNATE 6 o Lift Station #8 - Furnish and install a new valve vault vent pipe. ALTERNATE 7 o Lift Station #8 - Replace wet well aluminum hatch. ALTERNATE 8 o Lift Station #9 - Furnish and install additional gravel in driveway and inside lift station fence, cut and remove tree on site, renovate existing fencing and install new access gate, and any other improvements notes on the drawings. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Town of Hayneville, Alabama in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. The Contractor is advised that the contract time of this project is 90 calendar days in time and is being administered through the South Central Alabama Development Commission located at 5900 Carmichael Place, Montgomery, AL 36117, 334- 244-6903 by Ms. Ashton Hutchison with funding through the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs. A certificate of compliance with the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act, Act 2011-535, as amended by ACT 2012-491, is required by all contractors. All bidders are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov). Attendance at the Pre-Construction conference is a mandatory requirement for this project. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Engineer or copies thereof. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Engineer; the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. The contractor shall possess the specialty licenses MU. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interest of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
