Renovation of a multi-residential development in Rockingham, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The Rockingham Housing Authority (RHA) is seeking bids from general contractors to install hardwired Smoke/CO Combination detectors in RHA occupied public housing community. Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining permits and coordinating inspections and material and labor for the installation. RHA will provide the detectors. CONTRACT DURATION: 180 Calendar Days Install the above-mentioned systems and all its components per current building codes. o Installation of detectors will take place in each bedroom, hall, and kitchen/living area. Approximately contractor will be responsible for installing 850 detectors. o Upon installation of new detectors, remove and dispose of old smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors off RHA site. Patch holes left from removal of old systems. Paint (RHA provided) patched area to match existing surface. o Each unit started must be completed the day it was started with working systems prior to contractor departure from site. o Contractor price to include permitting and misc. material needed to complete the job. o All installation must be to current code and inspected by city inspector. o Contractor to provide a one-year warranty on installation and warranty period will begin upon city inspectors pass inspection.
