Renovation of a military facility in San Antonio, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade military facility.

GENERAL: The work to be performed under this contract and in accordance with this Statement of Work shall consist of furnishing all necessary parts, labor, tools, transportation, supplies, supervision, equipment, materials, and incidentals necessary for providing all work shown in the Statement of Work, and all applicable codes, regulations, standards, and criteria in effect at the date of solicitation. All services rendered shall be conducted by industry subject matter experts and/or technicians. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Provide labor and materials to perform removal of (32) existing broken window and window frames, and replacement of new (32) windows and window frames. (16) Windows facing the Southwest side of the building and (16) windows facing the Northwest side of the building on the 4th floor. The following shall be accomplished: Contractor shall provide all information pertaining to warranty, service, and process for ordering replacement parts as part of Acceptance of Delivery by Government. Contractor shall survey pre-existing condition of windows during site visit coordinated through Base Contracting Officer and/or Contracting Officer Representative. Contractor shall take their own measurements/pictures for precision installation of new window/window frames. If Window frames are damaged, they must be replaced with new window frame. NOT fixed for reuse. Contractor shall remove eight (8) row of existing fixed windows and all associated hardware. Broken window frames shall be removed as well. Each row of windows have 4 window sections. Contractor shall install eight (8) rows, (4) sections with new fixed windows and all associated hardware; in existing opening. All new windows shall consist of flat, bronze double-insulated, glass impact resistant. The Approximate dimensions of existing window frames are as follows: One (1) unit measuring 13' 1 1/2 " x 11' 2" with 4 EA. Windows 39" x11" 2" with 4 lite One (1) unit measuring 13' 1 1/2 " x 8' 9" with 4EA. Windows 39" x 8' 9" with 4 lite LOCATION: Building 1029, Southern Regional Medical Command, 4070 Stanley Rd. JBSA Sam Houston TX 78234 WORK AND MECHANICS: The work for this project shall be executed in the best and most workmanlike manner, by qualified and efficient mechanics/tradesmen, skilled in their respective trades. Only certified journeymen in each respective trade, subject matter experts, or apprentices under the direct supervision of certified journeymen shall be permitted to install and/or supervise installation for this project. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work shall be performed primarily on the roof and third (3rd) floor of Building 1029, Southern Regional Medical Command. Contractor shall comply with all safety standards and regulations to include, but not limited to, those listed in Section 1.6 of this Statement of Work. All Contractor operated/owned vehicles, equipment, tools, etc., shall be stored as prescribed in paragraph DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND PARKING. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. Questions are now due no later than 16 March 2022.
