The County of Calaveras is seeking sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor, tax, bonds, insurance, permits, premiums, shipping, transportation, services, disposal, equipment, materials, and appurtenant facilities for qualified Licensed Timber Operators (LTO) and/or C-61/D-49 certified Tree Service Companies (TSC) to provide Tree Mitigation services in the project areas defined in the attached Exhibit A - Project Area Location (Maps). The services requested will include all operations related to the safe, legal, efficient cutting of dead and/or dying trees, selective removal of trees and treatment of associated slash and debris that pose a hazard to County infrastructure (primarily roads). Bids shall be submitted in accordance with the Bid Information and Documents contained herein and with the laws, regulations, and policies of the County of Calaveras and the State of California, and all other applicable regulations. Questions by Bidders concerning discrepancies in or omissions from the Bid documents and other information shall be submitted no later than February 14, 2022. Answers to questions deemed relevant to the scope of work as determined by the County will be posted on public purchase on February 15, 2022. County reserves the right to amend this process at any time if deemed in the best interest of the County to do so. Any alteration to the Invitation to Bid must be added in addenda form, and must be issued by the County Purchasing Agent. County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive any informality or non- substantial irregularity in any bid. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Calaveras reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part and/or to waive minor technicalities and/or any irregularities in any bid received if such waiver is in the best interest of the County.
