Renovation of an educational facility in Kailua, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Furnish materials, labor, and equipment necessary to install 14 Haiku Ceiling Fan with Aluminum 52" blades (with long extension tube) fans in the Kalaheo High school Cafeteria. I. Fans: a. Contractor shall supply and install 14 Haiku Ceiling Fan with Aluminum 52" blades (with long extension tube) (see attached) or a preapproved equal. b. Contractor will install/replace 12 fans and install 2 new fans c. Following are additional parts as recommended by the Big Ass Fan Company. 1. Lutron Low Voltage Dimmer Switches to control fans (3 each) 2. Low Voltage Controller (14 each) d. Contractor shall be responsible for any additional materials or hardware necessary for a complete installation. e. The installation of the fans shall be per manufacturer's recommendation. II. Power for new fans a. Contractor will be responsible to check if sufficient electrical is available before ordering the equipment. b. Contractor will be responsible to supply all electrical materials and equipment to supply power to the fans from the nearest adequate circuit c. Contractor shall remove existing (12) fans and replace with new. Contractor shall cover all unused switch and light fixture boxes and any additional conduits, boxes, breakers and accessories necessary for a complete installation shall be the contractor's responsibility. d. Contractor will be responsible for connecting and configuring the control circuit to each fan and switch and routing control lines to and from each fan back to the control area (includes all material) e. Switches for fans will be located near the existing current lighting switches. f. Electrical work will be discussed in detail at the mandatory prebid meeting. III. Installation (Onsite Work): a. The exact onsite start date will be coordinated with the shipment/arrival of the fans. Once onsite the contractor will have 14 working days to complete their work. b. All onsite work shall be coordinated with school officials (Principal) to minimize disruption to the student's use of the cafeteria. c. The contractor will be responsible for protecting the school property throughout the duration of the construction. d. The contractor must put away all equipment daily for after hour use by the school All work shall be per manufacturer's specifications and recommendations, and shall be performed to industry standards. Contractor must follow all current local city & county codes. Along with the Manufacturer's standard material (Fan) warranty, the contractor shall provide a one-year written warranty for defects in materials and workmanship on this project. This job is scheduled to commence upon award of a purchase order and be completed by August 1, 2022. Onsite work will be coordinated with the delivery of the fans.
