Renovation of an educational facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
This project is designed and specified to add a rooftop dedicated outdoor air handler (DOAH) on the roof of Brooks Hall Matsumoto Wing located at NC State University's main campus. The DOAH will provide ventilation air and relief air to the second and third floors of the Matsumoto Wing that currently do not have mechanical means of outdoor air ventilation. Equipment is sized to provide future capacity for first floor ventilation for use in future renovation projects. The DOAH includes a total enthalpy energy recovery wheel in addition to chilled water cooling coil and a steam reheat coil to deliver dehumidified neutral temperature air into the facility. The owner proposes that construction take place over the University's summer break. After bid award, all equipment submittals and shop drawings shall be expedited for review and approval to allow sufficient time for equipment and material lead times. Contractor shall review the feasibility of meeting the proposed construction schedule and review any questions or concerns with the owner and architect/engineer.
