The WORK must be completed within 100 calendar days of the date of issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Time is of the essence for this project., therefore the Notice to Proceed. will be issued soon as possible after contract award. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Work includes installation of approximately 330 lineal feet of new 15-inch gravity sewer and 1900 lineal feet of new 12-inch sewer force main along Oyster Bay Avenue between Kitsap Way. and Arsenal Way in Bremerton, WA, including manholes, air valves, connections to the exist-ing system, temporary traffic control, surface restoration and other improvements described in the Plans and Specifications. The City will be pre-purchasing some material items that have long lead times. No bypass or sewer outag-es are required to perform the work. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. The successful bidder will also be required. to provide a Performance Bond for 100 percent of the Contract Price. Should the suc-cessful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satis-factory performance bond with-in the time stated in the specifi-cations, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of :Bremerton.
