FCPP Northwestern Mutual South Campus Constructed Stormwater Wetlands Project Northwestern Mutual South Campus is located at 1 Northwestern Mutual way, Franklin WI 53132. The property is located within the Root River Watershed. The site drains to the Root River East Branch along the western portion of the site, which then drains south to the Root River and to Lake Michigan. The project is situated on 3 parcels of land to the west of 31st Street in Milwaukee County, at approximately 7452 S 35th Street and 7437 S 35th Street in the City of Franklin, Wisconsin. (Tax Keys 7619992002, 7619994005, 7619997003). The proposed project is two connected wetlands, with the south wetland draining to the north wetland via a pipe. The south wetland will include two swales running east-west to capture surface flow from parcels 2 and 3. The north wetland will capture the runoff from parcel 1 via a new east-west swale in the south of the parcel and an extension of the existing northern swale. The outfall for the two wetlands will be the outlet from the north CSW to an existing overland drainageway. The work generally includes, but is not limited to,17.1 acres of clearing and brush removal, tree removal, 43,560 square yards of surface shaping and final grading, 257 tons of 1-1/4" crushed aggregate base course for maintenance path, approximately 40,000 cubic yards of general excavation, 7,400 linear feet of silt fence, 21,579 square yards of erosion matting, 73,354 square yards of temporary stabilization, 66,181 square yards of prairie wildflower seeding, 8,722 square yards of waterfowl exclusion fence, 26,166 wetland plugs, 256 linear feet of 6" directional drilled storm sewer, and 6,111 cubic yards of reservoir clay liner. A list of all subcontractors must be submitted with the project bid documents. This project has a minimum 30% SWMBE participation requirement. Failure to meet this requirement may result in the rejection of a bid, or a minimum 2% penalty on final contract total. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Deposit in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Bid. Bids may be withdrawn only pursuant to relevant provisions of Wisconsin law. Otherwise, all Bids must be offered for a period extending sixty (60) days beyond the Bid opening. The letting of the work described herein is subject to the provisions of Sec. 62.15, 66.0901, 779.14, 779.15, Wisconsin Statutes, and all other relevant provisions of federal, state, and local law.
