**As of March 28 2022, Coate Construction LLC was awarded the contract with a bid of $108,450.00. The anticipated start date is the last week of April with a completion date before July 5, 2022. This year's work consists of piecework roads (estimated 2400 feet of type 3 21" roll curb), There may be longer stretches that may be able to accommodate a slip form machine. The approaches may or may not require replacement so any slip form machine used must pass in front ofthe good approaches. This year's (2022) project involves the repair of curbs, catch basins, and drive approaches (aprons) in one area of the City of Clayton. All identified concrete work is estimated and may change if property owners' complete repairs prior to this contract, or if other damage is identified. The identified area is Union Road, 3 Roads in the Savina Hills area, 1 Road in the Honeybrook Plat and 4 Roads along Cheri Lynne. There are an estimated 7 approaches, (Estimated 1450 square feet), that the city has identified as being in poor condition and may require replacement. These approaches will be low profile and can be part ofthe curb assessment project through the city since the work is necessary to install the expansion joint. Any additional request for approach work, (low profile), or full driveways, will need to be negotiated with the homeowner and the homeowner will be responsible to pay the contractor for any additional flat work, or curb needed to perform the work. However, the contractor must provide the same cost to residents as identified in the city approach work or flat work. There are an estimated 5 Clayton type A standard (22"x44" inside) catch basins that may need replaced. The city will provide the catch basins. There may be a need to replace some sidewalk sections in these various areas in the project area, so an additional 400 square feet of 4" sidewalk will be added to this project.
