Aquis/Flexible Start Time: 14 The work specified in this contract consists of providing all labor, materials, equipment, and all incidentals necessary to relocate palms and trees in accordance with the plans and the specifications. Relocate and maintain trees and palms at various sites along Sawgrass Expressway (SR 869) from Milepost (MP) 7.5 to 9.5 to the new location at the Homestead Extension of Florida's Turnpike (SR 821) from Milepost (MP) 39.0 to 40.0. The post installation period is a period of one year from the date of final installation. The removal and protection of palms and trees indicated in the plans are not included in this contract. Prior to beginning work under this Contract, the Contractor shall submit to the Engineer for approval, two copies of the Contractor's proposed plan and methods for performing the work, including a listing of equipment and personnel anticipated for use. The Contractor shall perform all work during day in accordance with the Turnpike Lane Closure Policy. No U-turns shall be permitted as a condition of this Contract, except at Service Plazas. No Pre-bid Conference Will Be Held for This Project. Contractor Experience Documentation: Expertise and Experience Is Required in the Performance of Its Maintenance. The Experience in Its Maintenance Form (850-070-10) Must Be Filled Out and Submitted to Be Reviewed by the Department. If a Contractor Is Presently Prequalified With the Department in Intelligent Transportation Systems, It Is Not Necessary To Submit the Form For bids over $150,000.00, the standard proposal guaranty of 5% of the bid will be required, unless otherwise stipulated in the proposal advertisement. A Proposal Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the total actual bid in the form of either a certified check, cashier's check, trust company treasurer's check, bank draft of any national or state bank, or a Surety Proposal Guaranty made payable to the Florida Department of Transportation must be received for each bid in excess of $150,000.00 A 100% Payment and Performance Bond will be required for all projects.
