The City of Durham Department of Water Management (DWM) is soliciting a proposal from firms to provide professional services for meter inspection and testing services. The intent of this solicitation is to select a qualified contractor to provide large meter inspection and testing services of approximately 800 meters that are 3-inch and larger. Contractor selection will be based on qualifications and price. The City anticipates that at the conclusion of the RFP process, it will name one successful contractor and negotiate a final contract based on the services detailed in the RFP. Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to, meter locating, testing meter flowrate, and reporting data of meter assessments. The selected contractor will be responsible for working closely with City staff and its representatives to ensure proper system inspection is performed.
