Work of this contract consists of three main work scopes under five (5) Prime Contracts. Work efforts covered under this Advertisement for Bid will be for labor and material on the following Work Scopes: 1) Construction of a New Highway Maintenance Facility (approximately 15,600 s.f. pre-engineered metal building). 2) Relocation of an existing Fuel Facility. 3) Construction of a new Salt Shed Building. The Owner intends to award contracts for five (5) Prime Contracts (General, HVAC/ Fire Protection, Plumbing, Electrical and Salt Shed) under the three (3) work scopes listed above; pending funding limits. It is the Owner's intent to AWARD the Project to the successful Contractor by mid-March 2022. Contractors MUST be prepared to sign contracts in March of 2022. Bids shall be on the forms provided for that purpose and according to the Contract Documents prepared by CBS Squared, Inc., 770 Technology Way, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729. The Bidding Documents may be seen at the issuing offices of CBS Squared, Inc. (770 Technology Way, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729) and the Taylor County Highway Department offices, Medford, WI. Each bid shall be accompanied by the Bidder's Bond or Certified Check in the amount equal to at least 5 percent of the amount of the total bid, which shall be forfeited to the Owner in the event the successful Bidder fails to enter into a Contract. Bids shall be directed to the Owner securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper BID FOR TAYLOR COUNTY NEW HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE FACILITY. The Owner reserves the right to retain the deposits of the three (3) lowest bidders for a period not to exceed 30 days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. Bidders may be requested to submit a "Contractor's Qualification Statement", stating that the Bidder has the experience and equipment to undertake such work. Bidders will be required to provide Performance AND Payment bonds of 100 percent of the bid amount. This Work shall be subject to minimum wages and labor standards in accordance with State of Wisconsin statutes.
