The Work consists of cleaning gravel packed Wells #4, #8, #20 and #21 including removal and inspection of existing pumps, pre and post video recording, water sampling, rating, acid cleaning and redevelopment of wells, disinfection of wells, reinstallation of existing pumps and pump testing and returning the wells to at least their original capacity or better. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified treasurer's or cashier's check, bid bond, or cash in the amount of five percent of the value of the Bid. Contract Documents may be examined at the Dennis Water District Office, 80 Old Bass River Road, South Dennis, MA 02660 from 8:30 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Monday through Friday, except for holidays. Successful bidder must furnish separate 100 percent Construction Performance Bond and 100 percent Construction Payment Bond with a Surety company acceptable to the Owner. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project. t is the responsibility of the Contractor, before bid opening, to request, if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed work under this Contract. This Contract is being bid under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30, Section 39M.
