Open Space Weed Abatement Pursuant to Section 1770 et seq. of the California Labor Code, the successful bidder and all subcontractors shall pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. In bidding on this project, it shall be the Bidder's sole responsibility to evaluate and include the cost of complying with all labor compliance requirements under this contract and applicable law in its bid. Each bidder must submit with its bid security in one of the following forms: cash, cashier's check payable to the City, a certified check payable to the City, or a bid bond, in the form included with the bid documents, executed by an admitted surety insurer, made payable to the City. The guaranty shall be forfeited should the bidder, if awarded the contract, fail to enter into the same, or fail to furnish in a timely manner the bonds and/or proof of insurance required under the Contract Documents All bidders shall possess a current City of Paso Robles Business License at the time the contract is executed and at all times during performance of the work. The successful bidder shall not discriminate against employees and applicants for employment on the basis of race, religion, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, or sexual orientation of any person, and shall comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids; to make any awards or any rejections in what it alone considers to be in the best interest of the City, and waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids. The contract will be awarded, if at all, to the responsible bidder that submits the lowest responsive base bid. Alternates will not be considered in determining the low bid unless otherwise expressly stated.
