Site work for a swimming pool in Huntley, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a swimming pool.

The Huntley Park District is seeking bids for the Stingray Bay Pool and Pool Process System Improvement Project. The REC Center is located at 12015 Mill Street, Huntley IL. 60142. The Huntley Park District has the right to refuse any or all bids and waive irregularities. 1. Pool Vessel a. The vessel leak test determined that the pool vessel does not have an apparent leak. Water loss has been isolated to the underground pump tank and surge tank farm. The water feature pipes that serve the rain drop and multi-level water feature need further testing by a mechanical contractor. b. Vessel work items include: i. Removal of existing expansion contraction joint sealant ii. Removal of excess moisture from the joints. iii. Installation of joint sealant according to manufacturer's instructions. Surface preparation should include grinding the side walls, joint cleaning and application of a primer to the sealant void sidewalls. Installation of appropriate diameter backer rod. Installation of joint sealant. iv. Recommended sealant product 1. Deck-0-Seal Two Part Polysulfide Sealant by WR Meadows 2. WR Meadows P/G primer c. Vessel concrete repair i. In advance of a future pool painting project, spot concrete repairs should be completed on cracks or small areas of separated concrete. 2. Pump Tank and Surge Tank a. Leak testing i. The tank marked #4 shall be isolated from the pump tank and surge tank group. 1. Cap or plug the equalization pipes (2) and the surge tank pipe (1) in the Intermediate pump tank chamber. 2. Cap or plug the equalizer pipe in deep pump tank chamber common to intermediate pump chamber. 3. Cap or plug the equalizer pipe in waterslide pump tank chamber common to intermediate pump tank chamber. 4. Cap or plug the equalizer pipe common with surge tank #4. 5. Cap the equalizer pipe and pump chamber pipe in surge tank #4 6. Remove the hydrostatic relief valve located in surge tank #4. ii. Isolate surge tanks and pump tank chambers for integrity test 1. Surge tank #1 install test plugs in equalization pipe and pump tank pipe 2. Surge tank #2 install test plugs in equalization pipe and pump tank pipe 3. Surge tank #3 install test plugs in equalization pipe and pump tank pipe 4. Pump chamber, shallow: install test plug at equalization pipe to surge tank #1 and equalizer pipe to water slide pump tank chamber 5. Pump chamber, waterslide: install test plug at equalization pipe to surge tank #2 and equalizer pipe to shallow pump tank chamber
