Renovation of a municipal facility in Madison, Wisconsin. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
In general the work consists of the replacement of existing insulated glazing units with new insulated glazing units that have 1/4" exterior clear tempered glazing with low-E coating, 1/2" airspace with Argon fill; clear laminated tempered 9/16" glazing with .060 PVB interlayer on the interior. Overall, the glazing unit thickness is 1-5/16", with a winter U-factor of 0.28. Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements.
