Clarification Deadline - 2/25/2022 4:00 PM The Project involves the installation of approximately 245 LF of 12" DIP raw water main and connecting it to the existing raw water piping, including the trenchless installation of approximately 85 LF of 24" steel casing under State Rt. 772. The project also consists of the installation of approximately 25 LF of 6" DIP, 45 LF of 8" DIP, and 200 LF of 10" DIP of water distribution piping, including the crossing of Rife Run stream. A GP-5 General Permit is pending for the stream crossing, as well as an HOP Permit for required work in SR 772. Owner will pre-purchase water main and fittings for the project. All other materials shall be supplied by the successful bidder. There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid conference to be scheduled at a later date. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Any and all steel products used or supplied in the performance of the contract or any subcontracts shall be from steel made in the United States. The Manheim Area Water and Sewer Authority, Owner, reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, to waive any informality in bids received, and to accept the Bid, which is in the best interest of the Authority, consistent with the laws affecting municipal contract awards. The Probable Cost Opinion for this project is anticipated to be between $125,000 and $150,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
