Site work for a swimming pool in Princeton, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a swimming pool.
The City of Princeton is accepting bids for a pool resurfacing project at the Princeton Aquatic Center. Scope of work includes furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and services for the completion of the resurfacing of the pool as defined in the Invitation to Bid. Winning bidder will receive Notice to Proceed on or before February 25. Construction must be completed by May 20, 2022. You may contact Brent Denbo at (812) 664-1830 to schedule a pre-bid job inspection walk-thru. Background: The Princeton Aquatic Center is located at 602 West spruce street in Princeton, Indiana. The facility includes a 220,000-gallon pool, 12' deep well with diving board, a beach with multiple water features, and a chemical room, concession/staff area, restrooms, a chemical and mechanical storage facility, and a pump house. Scope of Work: City will provide all permits 1. Prep pool for resurfacing: a. Strip existing tile lanes back to original gunite shell and haul away debris. b. Saw cut and strip existing Diamond Brite (plaster) "dead spots" on pool base to original gunite shell and haul away debris. c. Install new Diamond Brite in affected areas to match existing depth in preparation for new surface. 2. Apply Kona Coast EcoFINISH polymer thermal plastic coating to entire pool using the AquaBRIGHT color: Kona Coast (AB3-KC). Apply Kona Coast EcoFINISH to six swim lanes using a dark blue color (i.e. AquaBRIGHT Midnight Blue (AB3-MD). Swim lane markers should be eighteen inches (18") wide.
