Exterior renovations occur at the Brooklyn IL30-9 development and consist of exterior door renovations at nine buildings and window replacement at one building. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, bank draft, U. S. Government Bonds at par value or a 5% bid bond secured by an approved surety company. The surety company must be authorized to do business in the State of Illinois and must be acceptable to the Government. If the bid guarantee is not submitted with the bid, the PHA shall reject the bid. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty days after the scheduled bid opening. The contractor shall be required to furnish a performance and payment bond for 100% of the contract price. The SCCHA may waiver minor defects or irregularities in the bidding, other than the bid submission deadline, the bid bond requirement and the bid form, and further reserves the right to negotiate with the low bidder such changes in the price and scope of work as may be necessary to achieve financial feasibility.
