Questions are submitted online No This RFP is issued by the Charter Township of Van Buren to obtain quotes for park signage fabrication and installation at various locations within the community. The established sign family design includes five varieties: large park entry sign, medium park entry sign, park general rules sign, park directional sign, and amenity sign. Sign renderings and specifications to be quoted are attached to this document. Bids will be accepted only on provided forms. Bids must be sealed in an envelope marked "Park Signage Project Phase II" and submitted to the office of the Township Clerk. The park signage project will be phased over a multi-year period, and submitted quotes will be used to determine the scope of Phase II, the second round of fabrication and installation. The Charter Township of Van Buren reserves the right to waive any discrepancies or irregularities in the bid. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and is not required to accept the low bid. Bidders should direct questions and correspondence to Elizabeth Renaud, Director of Community Services. o Provide the basic specifications that you propose to use for design, fabrication, and installation of the above-mentioned signs and an illustration depicting the proposed sign design. The proposed specifications should match the design concept in the attached document as closely as possible. o Signs shall be designed and installed to withstand local snow, ice, and wind loads as stipulated by local building codes. o All materials and paints shall be resistant to weathering, fading, cracking, and peelin. o Signs, including all parts, paint, and materials, shall be warrantied for a period of no less than one |1 ) year against any and all defects. During the warranty period the sign contractor shall be fully responsible for the repair of any and all defects and any and all costs resulting from said repair including all costs for materials, labor, shipping, and travel. Parts, paint, and materials used for said repair shall meet or exceed the specifications for all parts, paint, and materials originally installed. The warranty period for each sign shall begin following the installation of the sign and acceptance by the Township. o Contractors are responsible for pulling permits for all signs. Fees for permits will be waived. o The sign contractor shall be responsible for contacting MISSDIG prior to the installation of the signs and any other permits that are needed. o The contractor shall be responsible for the restoration of the site to the previous condition, including disposing of debris, construction materials, and restoration of the landscaping, if any. o Contractor shall coordinate with the Township on timeline of installation as to not conflict with any Township events. o All signs installed in grass area unless otherwise noted.
