The project replaces concrete in preparation for the City's annual resurfacing programs and will consist of, but is not limited to, 60 pedestrian ramps, 3,604 square feet of sidewalk and driveways, 1,349 linear feet of curb and gutter, a sidewalk bulb out, installation of 53 glue down ADA domes and grinding the curb lip flush and associated work. The Engineer's cost estimate for the project is $625,000. Except as provided in Section Instruction to Bidders, no Bidder may withdraw a bid after the time established for receiving bids or before the award and execution of the contract, unless the award is delayed for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the date of the City's opening of bids. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by either cash, a cashier's check or a certified check, amounting to not less than ten percent of the bid, payable to the order of the City of Pleasanton or by a bond for that amount and payable in the form contained in this bid package. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds, each in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, and a maintenance bond not less than ten percent (10%) of the contract price.Labor and Material Bond for 100% of contract price. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to determine which bid is, in the City's judgment, the lowest responsive and responsible bid of a Bidder or group of Bidders. The City also reserves the right to waive any inconsequential omissions or discrepancies in any bid and to delete certain items listed in the bid as set forth therein. Costs for developing, submitting, and presenting bids are the sole responsibility of the Bidder and claims for reimbursement will not be accepted by the City.
