Demolition, site work and addition to a medical facility in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the addition of a medical facility; for the demolition of a medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.
This project involves taking the existing 6th floor Women's patient unit and converting that unit into a new Neonatal Critical Care Center (NCCC). This project includes multiphase construction within a fully occupied patient unit. Thorough coordination with the Design Team, UNC Hospitals Clinical Staff, UNC Hospitals Project Management Team, DHSR, and the State Office of Construction is required. The total project budget, including design, construction, and owner's contingency, is estimated at $4,062,000.00. Monteith Construction is seeking to pre-qualify contractors to submit bids. Monteith Construction is the CMAR for this project. The prequalification is due no later than August 25, 2022. We expect to bid on September 13, 2022 and the estimated start date for this project is November 1.
