Scope includes, but is not limited to, the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, services and incidentals for Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) Services for the Broward County Aviation Department (BCAD), at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Port Everglades Department (Port). Q & A deadline: Feb 21, 2022 5:00:00 PM EST Miscellaneous Parts, Materials, and Inspections Allowance in the amount of $628,000 annually Permits and Fees Estimated Allowance in the amount of $15,000 annually The County provides a specified time for Vendors to ask questions and seek clarification regarding the requirements of the solicitation. All questions or clarification inquiries must be submitted through Periscope S2G by the date and time referenced in the solicitation document (including any addenda). The County will respond to all questions via Periscope S2G.Contract duration: 3 years Contract renewal: 2 annual renewals, Bid Allowance Amount: $643,000.00 This solicitation is open to the general marketplace. Refer to Office of Economic and Small Business Development Procurement Preferences for Broward County Small Business Enterprises and County Business Enterprises. Quantities listed on Item Response Form are the estimated annual quantities for this solicitation. The sum of all line items will be the Vendor's Annual Contract price. The County will calculate the estimated amount for the Initial Three-Year Contract Period/Term. Award of this contract will be made to the lowest responsive responsible bidder by total bid price (sum of all items). Please refer to the Special Instructions to Vendors. The Living Wage Ordinance applies to this solicitation and the resultant contract. Refer to Living Wage Ordinance Requirements section for additional information. Please make arrangements to be represented or your bid will not be accepted. This information session presents an opportunity for the vendors to clarify any concerns regarding bid requirements. Failure to attend the mandatory pre-bid conference and/or site visit will deem the Vendor non-responsive. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport requires all participants of this mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit to submit a fully completed Temporary Customs Border Patrol (CBP) Access and BCAD Visitor Badge application for security clearance no later than 5 pm EST on February 3, 2022. Forms must be electronically filled. The completed BCAD Visitor Badge Application, Temporary Customs Border Patrol (CBP) Access Application, and copies of the attendees valid government issued identifications must be emailed to FLLCustomsApp@broward.org. See attached Applications documents for instructions and required documents. If these documents are not provided to BCAD by the above-mentioned date and time, you will not be able to attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit. You must also bring a government issued photo ID with you on the day of the mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit. NOTICE: Due to security issues and group management for the mandatory site visit, Visitor Badge will be limited to only ONE representative per vendor. Please refer to the Special Instructions to Vendors. Once the site visit at FLL begins, no one will be permitted to leave until site visit is complete (estimated 6 hours); however, if the site visit is not completed then a second day will be required the following day. This is a walking site visit and comfortable shoes are highly recommended as the site visit will cover the interior and exterior of Terminals 1, 2, 3, and 4. Safety shoes and proper PPE (i.e. hard hat and safety glasses) will be required to be worn. Food will be available for purchase in the terminals with a 30 minute scheduled lunch break. No food or drinks are permitted to be brought through the check points of the airport.The Port will deny access to visitors who do not have a verified destination in the Port. Persons unable or unwilling, upon the request of law enforcement or Port security personnel, to establish his or her identity or to account for his or her presence will be denied entry to the Port. The Port's ID badges are worded to clearly indicate areas to which access is authorized. ID badges must be displayed in the holder's upper torso on the outermost garment at all times when accessing or working within the Port. All visitors parking is segregated from any restricted access area. Visitor vehicles are not allowed to park within a restricted access area.
