It is mandatory that each prime contract bidder shall obtain one (1) complete set of bidding documents. Each prime contract bidder may obtain a maximum of three (3) complete sets of bidding documents. Prime Contractors only may request additional sets of bidding documents, prints of individual drawings and copies of individual specification sections for use by his sub-contractor, material supplier, or any other sub-bidder. These will be furnished to the prime contract bidder by Repro Graphix, Inc. upon receipt of the following non-refundable charges: Full Sets $100.00/each Individual Drawing Sheets $15.00/each Individual Specification Sections $10.00/each If mailing is required, mailing costs shall be paid for by the bidder. The Bidder shall refer to the Instructions to Bidders, bound in the Project Manual, for additional bidding procedures and requirements. Bid Forms shall be properly and completely submitted on Contractor's Bid for Public Bidding Form No. 96 (revised 2010) as prescribed by the State Board of Accounts for the State of Indiana, in addition to the Bid Form included in these specifications. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bid Security - acceptable certified or cashier's check payable to the order of Ivy Tech Community College or a satisfactory Bid Bond, fully executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. Should any Contractor whose bid is accepted, default in furnishing 100% Performance and Payment Bonds and Contract required, then check or Bid Bond shall be forfeited. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check made payable to Ivy Tech Community College in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid or an acceptable bidder's surety bond made payable to Ivy Tech Community College of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Indiana. The certified check or bidder's bond shall be a guarantee that said bidder will, if the contract is awarded to him, execute within ten (10) days from the acceptance of his proposal a contract for the work bid upon, and furnish acceptable surety bonds as set forth in the specifications. However, if the contractor has not executed the contract within the ten (10) day period or has failed to furnish acceptable surety bonds as indicated, the Owner reserves the right to award the contract to the most responsive bidder, and the bid security will be forfeited. Bid Forms shall be properly and completely submitted on Contractor's Bid for Public Bidding Form No. 96 as prescribed by the State Board of Accounts for the State of Indiana, in addition to the Bid Form included in these specifications. Bids received that do not contain this assurance and have not given acceptable reason for not complying will be considered non-responsive and will be ineligible for award of the Contract.
