Project Description, re-roof existing approximately 2400 square foot one story building.
All bidders must be licensed General Contractors as required by the State of Tennessee and qualified for the type of construction being bid upon.
Each Bidder shall include in his Bid the following information:
Firm: Name
Address, including City, State, and Zip Code
Bids to be submitted in sealed envelopes with the following marked on the outside:
License: Name of Project: Activity Center Roof Project
Each bidder will be required to put up a security in the amount of 25% of bid.
Notice is herewith given that under Section 29 of the Town Charter. Be it further enacted that any contract or agreement made in violation of the provisions of the Charter or Ordinances of the Town shall be void and no expenditure shall be made thereunder. Every Officer and employee who knowingly make or participate in any such contract or agreement, or authorize or make any expenditure thereunder, and their sureties on their official bonds, and every person who shall knowingly receive such a payment, shall be jointly and severally liable to the Town for the full amount so paid or received. A violation of this section by any officer or employee shall be cause for his removal.
The Contract will be awarded to the responsible Bidder submitting the lowest and/or best bid. The Town, however, reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any informality in Bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in its interest.
The Contract will be awarded by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen to the responsible Bidder submitting the lowest and/or best bid complying with the conditions of the Invitation for Bids. Any bidder may withdraw his bid within 10 days of the actual date of the bid opening.
