Renovation of a municipal facility in Dalton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 18-story above grade municipal facility.
For replacement of 18 windows at the MassWildlife Western District Office located at 88 Old Windsor Road, Dalton, Massachusetts involving removal and legal disposal of existing windows; miscellaneous rough carpentry; furnishment and installation of new windows and other incidentals necessary for a completed job. All relevant portions of the latest edition of the State Building Code (9th Edition), and the special provisions contained herein shall apply to the work performed under this Contract. The work to be performed under this Contract shall, in general, consist of the following: 1. Removal, and proper disposal of 18 wood windows and any trim that needs to be replaced, including all labor, materials and equipment necessary to test, sample, abate, remove, handle, transport, and properly dispose of the windows and debris in a lawful manner. 2. Furnishing and installing a total of 18 new, insulated, low-E glass, Energy Star certified for use in the Northeast, vinyl, double hung windows located on the first and second floor of the building, including all necessary measurements, rough carpentry, caulking, trim, etc. for a proper, weather-tight fit, and being satisfactorily acceptable to the Owner. Contractor shall provide specific window make and model prior to purchase for Owner approval. 3. For miscellaneous carpentry, exterior sheathing repairs, insulating, and field painting required for the project, but not specified under some other item. The Contractor shall commence work promptly upon receipt of the signed Contract and Notice to Proceed and shall complete the work no later than June 30th, 2022 Planned Start Date: March 15, 2022 Contract Duration Until Substantial Completion: 3 months, substantial completion should be on or around June 15, 2022. This project will consist of all labor and materials to replace 18 windows at the Mass Wildlife Western District Office.
