Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Shelton, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and transportation facility.

As of May 2, 2022, project was awarded to Miles Resources, awarded amount is $2,552,993.48. This Contract provides for the construction of water main and water service replacement, roadway and pedestrian facilities and stormwater improvements along West Railroad Avenue from near Pacific Court to near North 8th Street. The project will include new water main and water services, storm drainage improvements, excavation, grading, cement concrete curb and gutter, cement concrete sidewalk, retaining walls, fencing, asphalt paving, bus pullout and installation of bus shelter, channelization, traffic control and other related work items. The Contractor will have 120 working days to complete the work in Schedules A, B, and C in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a proposal guarantee (certified or cashier's check or approved bond) payable to the City of Shelton in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal price. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Shelton. No bid shall be considered unless accompanied by such bid proposal deposit. The Engineer's estimated range for this project is between $2,400,000 and $2,500,000. No response will be made to questions unless they are submitted in writing, and received by 12:00 p.m. on February 23, 2022. The City of Shelton reserves the right to waive informalities in the bidding, accept a Proposal of the lowest responsible bidder, reject any or all bids, republish the Invitation to Bid, revise or cancel the work, or require the work to be done in another way if the best interest of the City is served. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The City of Shelton reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive minor irregularities.
