This project involves the rehabilitation or replacement of the existing bridge on Stop 13 Road over the Wynants Kill. The existing bridge is approximately 36 feet long and 17 feet wide constructed with 6 steel beams with a concrete deck overlaid with asphalt. The new bridge will meet current bridge standards, 60 feet long 25'4" wide, and carry 2 lanes of traffic. The project only involves replacement of the bridge and approximately 50 feet of roadway approach on either end of the bridge. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of: Five Percent (5%) of the total base bid in the form of a Certified Check, Bank Draft, or Bid Bond. Cash will not be acceptable as a deposit. No bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. This project is a Locally Administered Federal Aid Project and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements are included. The Federal Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal is 6% for this project. The apparent low bidder will be required to present evidence of experience, ability and financial standing. EEO Goals for the project are 3.2% Minority and 6.9% Female. The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance, Payment and Guarantee bonds, from an acceptable Surety Company for an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid.
